Operation Transformation

For the first time, Operation Transformation is based in Balbriggan, north County Dublin as the five new leaders attempt to get the whole town moving.

The leaders find out if they have managed to reach their weight loss targets.

The leaders look back on the past week, and discover if they have met the weight loss targets set for them by the experts. An Taoiseach Leo Varadkar, Jake Carter, Mícheál Ó Muircheartaigh, Aengus Mac Grianna, Anna Geary, Claudia Carroll and Blathnaid Treacy also step on a special weighing scales designed to measure their metabolic age.

Presenter Kathryn Thomas spearheads the nationwide campaign to get people moving by giving them the tools they need to complete a 5K run by the end of the series.

Operation transformation continues its 12th season and this year the programme has undergone something of a transformation itself. We have a new base, a new medical expert, new challenges and as always 5 new leaders for everyone to follow.

Kathryn Thomas presents the grand finale, which sees the leaders take to the catwalk to reveal how far they have come in the eight weeks since beginning the health and fitness programme.
