When Sille is forced into home care activation, she must be trained by the experienced social care assistant Rie, who is more concerned with her own possible promotion.

Patrick is desperate to calm his team down, and Sille takes advantage of this. She hopes to surprise her mother, but is instead met with disappointment and resistance. Fortunately, Patrick is ready to comfort. Meanwhile, Rie's moral compass spins when she suspects that Patrick is stealing the citizens' pills.

Sille flourishes in her job and gets closer to the citizens. However, she soon has to decide whether to support Rie or Khalida in the fight for the position of shop steward. The election for the position puts pressure on Rie, and the fear of losing her chance for promotion makes her resort to alternative methods.

Rie doesn't show much care for Niels' sick brother, Morten, and she can't explain to Niels why. On the other hand, things are going better at work, and she takes the time to celebrate Kisser's 25th anniversary. Sille starts to withdraw from Patrick when she realizes that his help and gifts are not free, but that turns out to be easier said than done.
