We are actually working on our own Jason Todd fan series, so it’s been tough to produce the longer HiTop videos. But hey, Batman Does NOT Kill is a shorter one and apparently my most popular one. Before Red Hood, Before Robin, there was Jason. We’re making a Jason Todd Fan Series. An Independent Feature, broken up into 3 parts, 3 Chapters. A character study of a broken, but good-hearted, young man whose parental figures and circumstances led him to respond to the twisted world of Gotham with the only thing he was ever taught, violence and aggression. A tragedy. Hopefully, an honest one, about abuse, neglect, and a deep longing for love. We have decided to fund Jason ONE CHAPTER AT A TIME. That way we are not biting off more than we can chew, and we can focus on making the best, self-contained origin we can. We want to show you the kind of Jason story we wish to tell. If Chapter 1 is well received, if you feel your support went to something special, then we would love to continue telling his story. The Script for Chapter 1 is 60 pages which will roughly translate to about an hour. We are asking for your help in making that hour the most honest, stylized, and vulnerable tale it

Hey! Back at it with another HiTop Batman video, this time a HiTop Films The Batman video. The Batman and Heartbreak. Mask of the Phantasm is my favorite Batman movie. Batman: Mask of the Phantasm is one of my favorite movies of all time. The greatest thing they add to the legend, the greatest statement they make about Bruce Wayne is that Batman is a response to heartbreak, Batman is the broken heart of a little boy who once loved, who once believed Andrea Beaumont could give him a new vow. A sad tragedy that I find so very human and relatable. I hope you find truth in this Batman Video Essay, rant about love and heartbreak, pretentious ramble about Batman: The Animated Series… whatever you wish to call it! The Symbiote, the black suit, the Venom has always been most interesting to me when it’s treated as a metaphor for substance abuse. DC League of Super-Pets is loving, caring, and entirely sincere in it’s storytelling and love for the world of DC. Krypto the Super Dog, Ace the Bat Hound, I’ve always been huge fans of the furry friends of these beloved Icons. You might be deterred from believing me since I usually do Superman, Batman, Spider-Man Video Essays, but dude, just check this movie out for yourself. Super Pets might be my favorite Superman movie since Superman 2, Super Pets might be the most accurate (classic) depiction of the Justice League? How they need pick one Batman, whether that’s The Batman (Robert Pattinson), Michael Keaton Batman, or Ben Affleck Batman. How they need to let Matt Reeves do his thing. Hey! How ya doin’? I hope you’re doin’ well! Black Panther Wakanda Forever shocked me. I’ve always been a fan of Ryan Coogler, but lately the MCU, Phase 4, has been a pretty messy. I thought Thor: Love and Thunder was a Bad Joke, I thought, I still think, the MCU needs some huge changes, but Wakanda Forever, might just be How To Save The Marvel Cinematic Universe. It’s a meme, HiTop Films MCU videos tend to be, but hopefully this one rings true. The filmmaking on display, the emotion, the lack of bathos, all of it builds to what I believe is the best of Phase 4, hence the title, Wakanda Forever - The Best of Phase 4.
