Mark Isitt's journey in Grand Designs - House of the Year continues, now in the category "Dare to be different". Four cocky candidates compete to be the jury's favourite - everything from a shiny James Bond house to a stripped-down and experimental wooden barn.

In the category "Old Becomes New", Mark visits an over a hundred year old ruin that has been converted into a spectacular residence. He also visits Sweden's first container house where dark, murky shipping containers have been transformed into a warm and vibrant home.

Mark Isitt visits four designed holiday homes, including an exclusive tour of Jens and Hedda Lapidus' writer's den. After that, it is time for the jury to make its final choice when the House of the Year is to be chosen.
