Genevieve, who irritably blames Leon for their predicament, breaks down in tears upon relating her situation to the police officers. Later that night, she offers to treat Leon's wounds. After getting the green light to take her leave, Genevieve pretends to be Leon's girlfriend so the latter may be released, as well. Leon helps Gen in getting directions, but he ends up accompanying her to where she wants to go. After recalling her abrupt breakup with Jakey, Gen refuses to enter the building and asks Leon instead to lead her the way to her friend's apartment, which turns out to be the same place where Leon dwells. Upon getting to his room, Leon gets teary-eyed listening to Epong's voice message and recollects how Edward urged him to stop blaming himself for his mother's death. While Leon confronts Fred after the loan sharks pose a threat on him again, Lala advises Gen to stay away from Leon. However, a revengeful Gen ends up offering to help Leon and Fred in their financial problems in exchange for beating up Jakey.
