A 'then and now' special featuring a number of 1970s artistes as they were in 2002. As well as archive footage, the show also includes previously unseen performances by Donny Osmond, David Cassidy, Page and Plant and Alice Cooper.

Oasis play some of their hits in a special live performance, plus their version of the Who's My Generation.

In a special edition of the pop show, Neil Diamond , A-Ha, Robert Plant and Status Quo take part in a "then and now" exercise in which their current versions of old songs are compared with their performances from the archives. The songs include Led Zeppelin's Communication Breakdown and Diamond's Sweet Caroline.

Bob Marley , Dave and Ansil Collins , Jamiroquai's mum Janet Kay , Smiley Culture, Althea and Donna, Dennis Brown and Shabba Ranks feature in a reggae special, showing as part of the Jamaica 40 season. Plus new music from Aswad with Eternal's Easther Bennett.
