Barbara Windsor, actress, was surprised by Michael Aspel during the curtain call of the show Music Hall at the Theatre Royal, Windsor.
Barbara made her West End debut in 1952 in the chorus of the musical Love From Judy, and made her film debut in The Belles of St Trinian's in 1954. She joined Joan Littlewood's Theatre Workshop at the Theatre Royal, Stratford East in 1960, and came to prominence in their stage production of Fings Ain't Wot They Used to Be, which became the film Sparrows Can't Sing, for which Barbara received a Best Actress BAFTA award nomination.
