Kusakizome, or botanical dyeing, is a tradition reflected in Japanese colors. Our explorer experiences being one with nature as she learns the ropes.

Koyasan is a revered Buddhist temple complex built on a towering mountain. Through rituals and meditation, our explorer seeks to discover the Buddha within us all.

Sake is made by fermenting steamed rice. We visit a 350-year-old brewery to gain an insight into the reverence the brewers have toward nature and microbes.
