Sight and Sound in Concert

From Golders Green Hippodrome, London, October 27th 1977. Presenter Pete Drummond explains that Alex Harvey had announced his retirement from performing just days before the scheduled recording, so TV listings included his band in the title, even though they did not appear in the show. Instead, the broadcast program included a set from AC/DC, including Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be, Let There Be Rock and I'm A Rocker.

Alan Black introduces Joan Armatrading in concert at the Hammersmith Odeon in 1977. Her band comprises Quitman Dennis (saxophones, flute, vocals), Red Young (keyboards, vocals, thumb piano), Jerry Donahue (guitar, vocals), Bryan Garofalo (bass) and David Kemper (drums).

Over to London this weekend for a concert by 70′s legends Supertramp, recorded by the BBC as part of their Sight and Sound series on November 17, 1977.
