Overboard

On this episode of Overboard we're playing the BEETLE-WRESTING tabletop game Kabuto Sumo! In teams, we'll try to push our opponents' beetles out of the ring. Special beetle powers give each player an edge — but are they worth the cost it takes to activate them? Tokyo Highway is the board game of privatized highway systems — and if that doesn't sound fun, you need to WAKE UP. In Tokyo Highway, players take turns placing popsicle stick highways and try to get all their cars on the road. But they only have so many pieces, and once they run out, it's game over. This week on Polygon's tabletop show Overboard, Clayton Ashley, Tara Long, XTina GG and Simone de Rochefort take to the streets, building roads with shaky hands.
