A mammoth expedition which sees Greg and Willie along with cameraman Emil, attempt to undertake a West to East crossing of the famed Garden of Eden ice plateau in the rugged and remote Adams Wilderness area. Packed full of tahr hunting, mountaineering and even white water packrafting.

The guys are joined by a special guest tonight, ex cameraman of the show, talented musician and one of Willie’s best mates, Sam ‘Big Red’ Mander. They look to target roaring Red stags in the Canterbury high country, but a common theme of Willie and Sam’s adventures is that things don’t always go quite to plan! The Cleaver family take on winter tahr and the weather sure shows its colours

We pay tribute to a humble hero among the hunting and climbing fraternity; Caleb Jennings, whose life was tragically taken in a back-country accident a few months after filming this episode. In true Caleb style, he walks the feet off Willie in search of roaring Canterbury Red stags, and then joins Greg for a few days bush hunting Sika up North.

We head to Fiordland and for once Emil the cameraman is actually behind the rifle!
