Apprentice-style challenge in which 12 Brits who think they have what it takes to run the country are put through a series of tasks designed to test their leadership skills, decision-making, resilience and integrity. The challenges are set and adjudicated by Alastair Campbell and Baroness Sayeeda Warsi. Can they find someone with the ability to succeed in the cut-throat world of politics?

Alastair Campbell and Sayeeda Warsi challenge the remaining candidates to tackle obesity. With Alastair unable to attend Kelly's launch, he sends MP Jess Phillips, but her first impression of the team is seeing Verity dressed as a giant strawberry.

The candidates face their toughest challenge yet, which sees them immersed in crisis as the country is plunged into a state of emergency. Rico and Danny nominate themselves for the top role, but both very quickly come under intense scrutiny from the advisors. To make matters worse, Rico's laidback leadership frustrates his team, while Natalie's forthright approach is met with hostility and one candidate's actions leave the UK's relationship with France teetering on a knife edge
