Building a new bridge - Castleford was once on the path of an important Roman road which forded across the River Aire, but until now has only had one bridge. People wanted a new river crossing to allow better access by foot and bike.

The regeneration of Castleford moved from the river to the community spaces this week, as the residents focussed on revitalising three of the most derelict areas of the town - the old allotments at Cutsyke, the old and heavily vandalised Victorian park at Airedale Green and the village green at New Fryston.

In this episode, Kevin follows attempts to revitalise the failing town centre market. Meanwhile, architects have ambitious plans for a cinema, bandstands and fountains in the town square, but not the budget to match.
