Tempers flare when six Australians move in with refugees who were once "boat people" and nerves are tested as they retrace their hosts' journeys back to some of the most dangerous places on earth.

The participants get a first hand experience of Australia's "turn back the boats" policy, stay with refugees turned back by the Australian navy, trek to human trafficking camps and visit the world's newest city - a refugee camp in the Jordanian desert.

Following a reverse refugee journey, one group sees what happens 140,000 people flee their homes while the other visits two of the most dangerous places on earth - Syria and Baghdad.
