Fractured Fairy Tales

Esmerelda Fump is the ugly maid at the palace- but she finds that if she gets to sleep, she gets prettier and prettier. Seeing her in her "pretty" state, the prince wants to marry her, but she keeps having to go take a nap to avoid looking ugly. Finally, the prince calls the court wizard and asks him to make her into a "night owl"- which he does... literally!

Jack sounds a lot like Jerry Lewis. The tale is about a fountain of youth in a town called Escrow. The moral at the end: "If anyone ever tells you to put your house in Escrow, tell them no!"

The King, who has invented a new sport called "goof," hits his ball through the window of the local butcher. He promises to fix it, and keeps his promise (but raises taxes to do it). He gets a reputation for always telling the truth. A witch gets an idea to trick the King into promising to marry her, so he has to come up with some idea to get out of it.
