In Villacoublay, 1925, Clémentine is 10 years old, and her brother (Little Boy) are Alex Dumat's children. Alex is an aviator and pride of the village and is preparing for an flying competition. Another participant arrives: Mollache, circus director and inventor of a rocket. Alex's plane's engine is having trouble (possibly because of Malmoth). Alex is forced to make a low pass which causes Mollache to have an accident, in which the rocket is damaged. While Mollache attacks Little Boy and Clémentine, Éole, a circus trapeze artist, asks Mollache for help for a goat, Pilou, who is dying of hunger. As Mollache refuses, Clémentine invites Éole, Pilou and the rest of the circus to eat at her house. Alex is already receiving a guest, the pilot Sadi-Lecointe. The arrival of people from the circus allows Alex to meet Éole and the cat Gontrand to meet the dog Starlett O'Wawa who gives him the Ginette chip to allow him to hear. Mollache arrives with the country guard to demand money.

After repaying Mollache, Alex can no longer afford the new engine he needed. Clément Ader, organizer of the competition and aviation legend, offered him the opportunity to pilot a plane loaned by Louis Blériot. Mollache enters the competition and taunts Alex. While visiting an open-air aviation museum, Clémentine has an idea for the circus folk. In the evening, Gontrand, pushed by Ginette, disguises himself as Zorro to go and free Starlett. He is captured by Mollache. Clémentine and Little Boy explain their plan to Éole and Illico. At nightfall, Aeolus and the animals board an airship and take off while Illico holds Mollache just long enough to prevent him from holding back the fugitives. Malmoth then threatens to punish Mollache in the event of another failure to spread evil on Earth. The same night, Mollache breaks into Alex's hangar.
