BBC New Year Live

The New Year's Eve celebrations kick off live from the heart of London with a concert staged by music legends Madness. They perform many of their massive hits as the programme builds up to midnight and the spectacular fireworks display over the River Thames. The concert also includes special collaborations with The Kingdom Choir.

As Big Ben strikes midnight we bring in the New Year live from Embankment with London's famous fireworks, one of the most spectacular firework displays to be seen anywhere in the world. The celebrations continue along the Thames with a rendition of Auld Lang Syne - the perfect start to 2019.

The live celebrations continue as Madness perform more greatest hits to welcome in the New Year.
