A Very British Country House

Documentary following the staff of Cliveden House, a country house hotel in a grade one listed building, during their busiest summer season. A visit by Meghan Markle provides the hotel with unprecedented publicity, which the managers quickly capitalise on. Wedding co-ordinator Lydia organises the biggest event of her career, with the couple having booked Cliveden exclusively for two days and the bride requesting staff wear traditional Indian dress. With no restaurant manager, head sommelier Sean is in charge of service, which goes awry when guests ignore the table plan.

The hotel suffers desperate staff shortages just as guest bookings go through the roof, leaving the struggling workers pushed to the limit. The management team comes up with an unusual reward for those who go the extra mile - a golden rubber duck. Lydia has to organise a Jane Austen-themed wedding for a Chinese couple who are flying in 13 photographers from Shanghai.

A hotel brand shoots a scandalous advert in one of the house's bedrooms, hoping to capitalise on the establishment's reputation. Lydia has to organise the most lavish wedding of the year for a Japanese supermodel and her British fiancé, featuring a 10-tier cake and a bespoke Valentino dress - but serving dinner in time for the fireworks display proves a challenge.
