On Location

Premiere of this series of performing arts programs. This program features comedian Robert Klein performing at Haverford College in Haverford, Pa. Klein pokes fun the following topics: "The Tonight Show"; horror films; college concerts; his college days at Alfred University; bad singers and microphone technique; Yale dancing school; abnormal psychology courses; going to a rural college; anti-semitism; Evelyn Wood speed-reading courses; football games; sports figures; and animals. Klein then whistles "Yesterday"; parodies a Jamaican tourism commercial; improvises a song entitled "Are Cows Dumb?"; talks about dentists; and sings "I Can't Stop My Leg" accompanying himself on harmonica.

Steve Martin's HBO special was done as one of their "On Location" series of standup comedy specials. Taped on October 31, 1976 at the Troubador in Los Angeles, it provides an uncensored look at Martin's early act.

Robert Klein returns to HBO for another hour of his classic comedy.

This program presents Robert Klein in his 3rd "On Location" performance. Klein pokes fun at the following people and topics: Yale Drama School; Alfred University and Exams; talk shows; New York; fishing; New York Yankees; football vs. baseball; circus whips; cruelty and children; foreigners; cab drivers and Germany; airlines; commercials; Mr. Carvel; beer commercials; slim Whitman; Sanka coffee ads; life insurance; Babe Ruth; the national anthem; and exit signs. The Robert Klein Orchestra then spoofs PBS prison shows with Klein, and Klein sings "Since I Fell For You." Also includes: Klein singing "Falling" from his role in "They're Playing Our Song"; Klein singing "Sunday Kind of Love" and "Going Back to New York City"; and Klein playing harmonica and singing "I Can't Stop My Leg" with the orchestra.

Enjoyably lethargic Steven Wright leaves his shack in the prairie to deliver a stand up show filled with creative and philosophical jokes, deadpan one-liners and funny contrived situations, including meeting a perfect Asian blond.
