On July 30, 1995, Josep Montané, known to all as Sansa, was found dead at his home in Tor. Only five months ago the judge of Tremp made him sole owner of the whole mountain, something that does not please the rest of the co-owners, the three families that have a house in the village. Miquel Aguilera, who for some time lived with the victim and, moreover, was his bodyguard, is the one who is immediately identified as the perpetrator of the crime for the only fact that they have felt him as a death threat.

Tor was like the far west, but there was not a single xerrif living there. When Sansa was made sole master of the whole mountain, he recruited an army of perdularis, who were called hippies there, but they were not hippies. He let them live in cabins called "les bordes de Pleià". They lived poorly drinking and smoking, and eating cheese and roses. Sansa promised the same to all of them. Three months after the crime, a witness accused two of those parishioners of being the culprits. The assassin was among the hippies of Tor?

In Tor there are two bands led by two chiefs, Sansa and Palanca, who fight for the rights of the mountain. Jordi Riba, known as Palanca, leads for a long time the opposition to Sansa and everything that involves transforming the mountain. A strong position that makes the relationship more and more unsustainable. That is why, when Josep Montané appears dead, many do not doubt Palanca's involvement.

In the 70's, Sansa and two neighbors lease the Tor mountain to build a ski resort. Ruben Castañer, who has two English investors, is in charge of the project. A fact that angers Palanca and causes the tension between the two sides to multiply. In fact, in 1980 two deaths appear. For smugglers, Tor is a safe route, but not a free one. The two bosses, Sansa and Palanca, charge a fee to let them pass through their properties. They act through their mossos, armed with guns and with the power to decide, like Miquel Aguilera. A situation that generates a lot of tension, especially with those who go on their own and do not accept the treatment. For this reason, it is not discarded the implication in the death of Sansa.
