Following a speech by President Jimmy Carter in which he spoke out against Amin's rule, President Amin closed his borders to prevent about 200 Americans from leaving Uganda. The borders were reopened days later, but this event called Amin's politics into question worldwide. Discussion focuses on allegations against Amin, including previous allegations of genocide and politically-motivated murders.
