The new guy in town Marcus decides to pay Nikki O a visit for a pedicure, in true Jenifa spirit she automatically takes a liking to him. Jenifa announces to her fellow associates attending the beach party, that they are expected to come with their partners, putting Adaku in a sticky situation with Jenifa's date being Marcus.

Jenifa finds A pregnancy test in Toyosi’s bag and it leaves her perplexed. Esther gives Randy a stern warning on his lustfulness towards Pelumi. Jenifa is invited out again by Marcus and she gets a taste of the finer things in life.

Marcus gets Jenifa what she thinks is her own Salon, but really all he wants is for her to take charge of it, forcing her to quit from Nikki O. Marcus and Jenifa start the preparations for the new Salon starting with who to poach from Nikki O, ‘and the bribery begins.’

Jenifa now feels like the madam of Tiannah’s hair Salon, giving all her recruited staff rules and regulations to follow, but this is rubbing them off the wrong way. Toyosi still suspects Soji of having an affair, and people are beginning to ask questions about Marcus and Jenifa’s relationship.

Jenifa throws Chichi out of the Salon due to her flirtatious antics towards Marcus. Toyosi and Jenifa help Kiki to prepare for her relocation to America. Toyosi finally decides to open up to Jenifa about Soji’s antics with Rebecca, and in true Jenifa spirit she approaches ‘Rebecca.’

Jenifa and Toyosi catch Rebecca again this time in Soji’s house. Another fight breaks out in Nikki O, with Esther and Pelumi and this forces James to give Randy a thorough warning about how the establishment is being run unfairly, making him very uncomfortable. Chichi passes a secret message through Scooby for Marcus, but it ends up in Jenifa’s hands. Marcus’s wife shows up at the Salon as the rightful owner.

Jenifa can’t get over Marcus’s deceit and his wife Ebere wants Jenifa gone. Esther results in blackmailing Randy in order to secure her position. Ebere decides to demote Jenifa making her an ordinary hair stylist that has to wear uniform. Chichi’s and Jenifa catch Papa red handed with Ekaete.

The hairstylist team up in Tiannah’s to put Jenifa in her place. Jenifa and Chichi start their plans to get back at Ebere using Marcus as the core of the plan. Rumours of Jenifa’s resignation is fast spreading, Jenifa visits Adaku at home and is shocked by the environment she lives in.

Jenifa gives Toyosi a treat for the increment letter instead of the discussed letter of resignation. Tiannah’s is showing signs of failure. Chichi tries to expose Ekaete to her mother but this back fires and Ebere is still bent on taking Jenifa down.

Scooby decides on approaching Jenifa for her assistance in his music career, like she did for his sister Pepe. Jenifa meets Adaku’s new boyfriend, who turns out to be John the genius and when Adaku finds out about John’s current situation she loses interest. The CEO hears of Adaku, Jenifa and Benny’s time at Tiannah’s and she decides to sack them from Nikki O

Jenifa is really starting to struggle with her self-employment, so shadows Toyosi. Adaku is also struggling working from a kiosk. The CEO of Nikki O has returned to put things in order, starting with firing Esther. While Jenifa has an encounter with Tiwa Savage that leaves Toyosi speechless.

Adaku’s investment worked and she’s eager to do another transaction. Tomi has been promoted as the manager in place of Randy who gets the sack. Pelumi’s second source of income is revealed. Jenifa’s mother plays match maker and Adaku’s struggles reach the ultimate high.

Tomi puts a commission payment scheme in place for the staff at Nikki O, Jenifa meets Dayo for the first time and there’s a clear barrier in their communication. Esther comes to visit Jenifa and informs her of the current predicament she’s facing.
