I know not all of us Christians observe Lent, but to me, Lent is a self tune up for everyone. It's How to prepare for Easter. Its not about "giving something up", its about severely searching your inner most heart, in the light of truth, taking inventory of what is good and what needs to go, putting to death what needs to be put to death, and rising again, with Him, as a new creation. Peace.

Two questions I get the most are, "how to pray?", and, "how do I get closer to God?": The first is the answer to the second, but often our prayer can get a little stale and/or we were never taught how to pray - deeper. This is a short guide of thoughts and techniques that have helped me pray deeper, better, and from the heart.

For those of us so called Christians, this is a challenge. I recently came across a very short paragraph at the bottom of a page that challenged my faith to it's core and made me ask, am I really a good Christian, or just some kind of fake?

As a christian, is it ok to want to be rich? What do I desire most: all the wealth on Earth or all the wealth of Heaven? Which do i trade my life for? “store up for yourselves treasures in heaven” (Mt 6:19:20).
