The Basement

On her way to Kingsport, Sam is anxious to learn about the place her mother once called home. Even her best friend Will has trouble keeping Sam's anxiety in check, especially once they meet who they'll be sharing the evening with.

Meeting her hosts sees Sam shaken by their unnatural behaviour, the hostility coming from Vera seeming to indicate that not everything is as it seems. Flashes of the past draw Sam deeper towards memories of her mother.

Francis and Dana begin to clash over who should be managing the night's proceedings, but Dana is distracted over what to do about Vera. Meanwhile, Sam finds herself retreating into old habits, with a frustrated Will in tow.

Having put her priorities back in order, Sam is comfortably able to join the others for a banquet. Dana and Vera continue to clash, threatening to turn the meal into a tense battleground.

Sam rallies Will to leave the house, but he has no time to entertain her paranoia. Upon a grim discovery, Dana takes charge and gives a suspicious Sam enough time to poke around in her mother's house.

Sneaking into the basement, Sam uncovers terrifying truths about the nature of her mother's death. With Francis utterly consumed by guilt, Dana takes the opportunity to tie up a loose end.

After her head-spinning discovery, Sam is keen to find Will and get the hell out of there. But Will is unconvinced, and it seems like there's nothing Sam can do to change his mind. Francis stands up to Dana, but it's too late.

Dana is quick to foil Sam's escape with plans of her own, but Sam is determined to get as far away from the house as possible.

After a horrific accident, Sam finds herself right back in the dragon's den. The night reaches its climax, but a chance encounter re-ignites Sam's drive to stay alive.

Series Finale: Wrenching freedom from the hands of her enemies, Sam makes her escape. But with nowhere to go, she decides to put an end to the commune's machinations once and for all.
