Xabier Zurita is a Basque notary with the appearance of a Basque notary. His life is as checkered as his shirts. Single, he doesn't seem to ask more of life than the small pleasures of his routines. But everything changes when he receives an unexpected news: a tumor that grows in his head will kill him in less than three months. Overcome by the news, Xabi is unable to share it with his friends and makes the first unpredictable decision of his life: he packs his suitcase and heads to Benidorm. The place where your happiness was fuller than ever. The place where he met, on his trip to the end of his studies, his first and only love: María Miranda. As soon as he arrives in the city, he settles in the Hotel Benidorm with the mission of searching for that girl whom he last saw almost thirty years ago.

Xabi does not fit itself with happiness. He has found Maria, and not only that, María seems to be willing to give him a chance! If we took away in detail the brain tumor that is going to kill him in three months, life could not be better. So, with luck on his side, he prepares to fulfill his dreams and proposes to Maria to redo her first date step by step. Maria gladly accepts: she has no other. It seems like a perfect idea. They only have one but, which of course does not count Xabi: she has no idea what happened on that first date.

He knows that if life led her down other roads it was partly because of her and that, although late, dreams come true and Maria's was to run a hotel.
