To rebuild the framework of the nave and the choir, it was decided to cut green trees, freshly cut, with an axe and an adobe to leave the same traces on the beams and rafters as those that existed before the fire. Tools were made in the forges of the edge-cutters for this work that has not been done for 800 years.
