Shakedown for the 2025 Rally Sweden

A centrally located sprint stage featuring several sharp road changes and hairpins, interspersed with some truly high-speed straights. The stage concludes at The Red Barn Arena in front of a large crowd, with three spectacular jumps and speeds reaching up to 150kph.

The stage begins with a fast forest road and features several sections where drivers and co-drivers must hit their marks to maintain speed for the rest of the stage. After a left turn, the stage reaches Rönnliden, with a large spectator area where fans can watch the cars descend towards a tight hairpin right before accelerating around Lake Välvsjön. This section transitions from a fast village road to narrow and technical rally roads with several crests and curves.

One of the most famous rally stages in Västerbotten, used in the Swedish Rally Championship since the early 1990s. The stage offers a mix of speed, technical narrow sections, and spectacular jumps. Starting in the village of Hössjö, drivers encounter a road change early on, heading toward the Skogs Nolia area, known as Rosetten. Shortly after, the stage transitions to a high-speed section through the villages of Håknäs and Mobäck, followed by another road change into a highly technical section. This area begins with an off-camber curve leading to a narrow bridge over a brook. In the middle of this technical stretch, cars jump onto a field, followed by another road change in Bergnäs. The final section alternates between fast, flowing curves and technical challenges, leading uphill to Hössjöberget. The stage finishes with a descent, featuring jumps and technical turns, ending in Kallhögen.

Drivers will need to carefully manage their braking before a sharp right turn onto a wide, fast descent. The stage then continues along a quick country road towards Brännfors where the cars traverse open fields with long, clear views before reaching the narrow bridge over the Tvärån stream. The bridge is a particularly tight and undulating section. After crossing the bridge, the road widens again and speeds pick up towards the junction at Tväråbäck. Following this junction, the stage features its fastest segment, allowing drivers to push their cars to the limit before reaching the junction at Önskanäs. The final part of the stage winds through forested areas and across open fields on fast country roads, ending at Fällfors.

Kolksele is a varied and challenging stage that offers an exciting mix of fast sections and more technical driving. It begins with a couple of kilometres on a winding forest road before straightening out slightly as it reaches the village road in Mjösjö. The majority of the stage runs on a fine, wide, and fast village road with flowing curves and crests that create a rhythmic and thrilling drive. The fast village road is interrupted at regular intervals by more technical sections, such as in Kolksele, where the stage loops around a barn, and in Pengfors, where it takes a detour into the Pengfors Motorstadion before ending in Penglund. This stage offers varied driving that truly tests both the car's and the driver's capabilities.

The Västervik stage is a hybrid of last year’s Sävar stage and the Västervik stage. The first part runs along the old coastal road, which was used as the Sävar stage in the 2023 Rally Sweden – but in the opposite direction. This section features excellent rally roads with many rhythmic corner combinations. The second part of the stage largely follows the 2024 Västervik stage but includes a new finish section.
