Operation Transformation

In the first episode of the new series, we meet the top twenty who undergo a vigorous day of assessment by our experts at Sportslink in Santry. The first two leaders who will lead the nation to a healthier future are unveiled and Operation Transformation's most ambitious campaign to date, the Million Pound Challenge, is launched by Prof Donal O'Shea and Mayor Mick Cornett on the Ray D'Arcy Show.

In the second episode of the new series, the remaining three leaders are unveiled and there's a dramatic turn of events when Prof Niall Moyna puts the leaders through their fitness test at DCU.

Our 5 leaders lead the nation at our first event of the series, the Operation Transformation Nationwide Walks take place in over 53 locations across the county. But will the leaders new regime pay off as the first 3 leaders step on the scales?

One week in to the plan, our two remaining leaders hope the changes are working as they face the scales. We launch our brand new secondary school dance fitness campaign #itsyourmove. The Dublin Fire Brigade are back and the leaders face the first challenge of the series, which for some will mean overcoming their biggest fears.

The journey towards the 5k has well and truly begun as the country gets behind our five leaders at our brand new parkrun 0-5k training event. The latest #ItsYourMove step is revealed when one school gets a surprise visit from a well-known past pupil.

Two weeks in, we reveal how much the nation is losing for our Million Pound Challenge. Kathryn and Aoife investigate how healthy our children’s lunches really are and launch our Operation Healthy Lunchbox Competition. The leaders brace themselves for their second challenge under the watchful eye of the Dublin Fire Brigade. With no idea what’s in store, there’s only one thing for certain; it’s not going to be easy.

As the half way mark draws closer, the first three leaders face the scales. Plus, a well known model reveals the latest move in the teenage dance fitness campaign £itsyourmove.

At the half way mark of the series, we reveal how far we’ve come in the Operation Transformation Million Pound Challenge. The week's final two leaders prepare to face the scales-but three weeks into the plan, reaching targets is not easy.

With less than three weeks to go to the 5k, the pressure is on for our leaders but will they get the results they are looking for as they step on the scales. This week we’re off to Co. Cork to reveal the fourth step of It’s Your Move.

Over half way there, and things are heating up for our leaders as they face their toughest challenge yet under the watchful eye of Dublin Fire Brigade. But Operation Transformation isn’t all down to our leaders, we reveal what the country has achieved so far with the Million Pound Challenge.

With just two weeks to go until the 5k run in the Phoenix Park, we catch up with our four leaders and see how they are getting on with their Operation Transformation food and fitness plan.

With less than a week to go until the big 5k, the pressure is on for our leaders but they aren't alone, as OT followers across the country come out in force for our last 0-5k parkrun training session. In the culmination of It's Your Move, all five schools and their celebs mentors come together to record the official It's Your Move dance fitness video.

Nerves run high as our leaders face their penultimate weigh-in before next week's grand finale. Nearing the end of their health and fitness programme, the team are back in DCU, where Professor Niall Moyna will be measure exactly how far they have come.

It’s finally here, the culmination of 7 weeks of hard work for our leaders. Our biggest ever 5k event kicks off in the Phoenix Park, Dublin and at over 40 parkrun locations across the country. Emotions run high as dreams come true and our leaders and their followers cross the finish line.
