Sara Cox helps more people living and working in remote rural areas to find love. The first episode introduces Grace, a sheep farmer from Wales, and Martin, a dairy farmer from Yorkshire. Grace faces inheriting her father's business when he retires, so is looking for a partner who will be willing to share the responsibility. Martin has not had a relationship in more than a decade, so leaves behind his Doncaster roots to attend a speed dating event in London attended by women from across the UK who have written to the show.

Sheepdog trainer Katy invites three potential partners to experience a taste of country life in the Cumbrian Fells. While the weather is bleak, painter and decorator John, motorbike champion David and former footballer Carl take to herding sheep and mucking out kennels with remarkable success.
