HELLO! NHK WORLD-JAPAN

This time we introduce the renewal of "Learn Japanese," website of NHK WORLD-JAPAN for people learning Japanese. The site made a renewal for people teaching Japanese as well as people learning it.

This time we introduce "Kids Edutainment," which is the project for children via broadcasting and internet distribution. We show some programs picked up from the archive of the project.

This time we introduce "SAMURAI WISDOM." It's a series broadcast in "Time and Tide" which shows history of Japan from various points of view. We show the episodes on Oda Nobunaga and Takeda Shingen.

This time we introduce "Spiritual Explorers," which shows the deep spirituality of Japanese people from the points of view of foreign people. We show the episodes of "AIKIDO," "Shojin Ryori" and "MUGEN NOH."

This time we introduce Monthly Special Programming for Hiroshima in May matching to the G7 Summit. We broadcast some special programs on peace and campaigned at the International Media Center of the Summit.

This time we introduce "Dive in Tokyo," which shows deep inside of the world big city of Tokyo. We pick up and show the life and culture of people at Kanda, Yanaka and along Kandagawa River.

This time we introduce "Living in Japan," which provides various information to foreigners living in Japan in 4 languages, such as English, Chinese, Vietnamese and Portuguese.

This time we introduce "The Unknown Master of Restoration," which shows Mayuyama Koji's ability to restore any piece of pottery, regardless of how broken it may be.

In August, we broadcast a special series on war and peace. One is "President Obama in Hiroshima," and another is "Ukraine's Nuclear Dilemma." They're originally domestic programs aired in May.

We broadcast a special series of Kagoshima Prefecture in July and introduced its beautiful nature, culture, tradition, people's daily life and so on from various points of view.

We provide emergency information for foreigners in Japan. They're served on our website or smartphone app in various languages. We also provide an internet brochure on daily-life information in Japan.

This time we introduce "SAMURAI CASTLES" from "Time and Tide," which shows Japanese castles as attainments of samurai wisdom. We present two episodes of Hikone Castle and Matsumoto Castle.

This time we introduce a special series of Fukushima Prefecture in September. We present the attractiveness by showing "Japan Railway Journal," "Through the Kitchen Window" and some other shows.

This time we introduce the "Two-way Anchor Project" started in 2021. It's that anchors who usually present news in Japanese on the NHK domestic channel also present news in English on NHK WORLD-JAPAN.

This time we introduce "My Job in JAPAN," which shows foreigners working in Japan. It reveals the diversity and changes in Japanese society. It's useful for people abroad who want to work in Japan.

This time we introduce "On the Wings," which shows beautiful sceneries seen from the windows of airplanes as well as people working on the planes and in the airports presenting local information.

This time we introduce "Japan Railway Journal," which won a special prize of the Japan Railway Awards 2023. We show the episode on Tohoku Shinkansen which is popular among viewers overseas.

This time we introduce "Medical Frontiers," which has been presented the front-line scenes of medical science in Japan for 8 years. The show has got a lot of praises from viewers in abroad.
