In this episode from the third season of Gun Talk Television: Ryan Gresham goes hog hunting in Louisiana - at night - using some high-tech, and high-flying, gear. For this hog hunt, Gresham partners up with Cy Brown and James Palmer of Louisiana Hog Control. Brown and Palmer use a drone outfitted with a FLIR thermal imaging camera to track the exact location of wild hogs, and relay the information on the video screen out to the hunters in the dense fields. Along with aerial coverage, Gresham uses different optics, such as ATN's ThOR riflescope and night-vision goggles to aid in the hunt. But before the guys can begin their evening, they have to sight in using the ThermBright thermal target from Range-Systems. First Person Defender takes regular "good guys" and puts them in an intense, real life, self defense situation. Using Simunition guns and force on force training, the Defender in each situation finds out what works and what doesn't. In this episode, two Defenders are put into very different scenarios -- first, it's a hostile situation at a Defender's home, then it's on to a Defender leaving a grocery store, baby and groceries in tow. In 1934, Congress passed the National Firearms Act, enacting a tax and registry on many different firearms and accessories, including machine guns, short barrel rifles, and silencers. Gun Talk's Tom Gresham goes on an NFA tour in this episode and visits Sig Sauer Academy to view and shoot their new line of suppressors on the Sig P220 and more, checks out a suppressed Ruger 10/22 rifle, and takes Kel-Tec's SU16-D9 short barrel rifle to an indoor range. Gresham also meets with gun collector John Long, who shows off his extensive collection of machine guns, sub-machine guns and silencers.
