Fabio Gouveia: The Wave Is Having Fun

On a visit to João Pessoa, Fabinho receives the affection of his parents and childhood friends. Next to the first idol, Arnaldo Badeco, he surfs on the legendary Dique de Cabedelo, which marked his childhood, and then visits his first shaper Paulo Bala.

Fabio goes back in time to search the legendary rights of Baía Formosa, where he surfed his surfing in adolescence on unforgettable trips. Along with his childhood friends from Paraíba, he meets the local characters and explores the paradise of waves.

Fabio arrives in Recife to visit the brothers Romulo and Rogério Bastos who manufactured the Custom boards with which he achieved his first victories on the world circuit. In Maracaípe, he surfs with the irreverent Junior Lagosta and visits friends.

Fabio shows his routine as a shaper in Florianópolis, where he talks about family life and the different models of boards he likes to create. In Hawaii, he and his wife accompany their son Ian, who follows in his father's footsteps as a professional surfer.

Fabio Gouveia learns to make a hollow wooden plank with shaper David Weber. Then, he joins the friend and professional freesurfer Binho Nunes and together they test the models on the waves of Floripa.

Fabinho enjoys surfing in the Hawaiian season where he usually tests his gunzeiras in Waimea, his favorite wave. He meets big rider friend Danilo Couto, who lives in Oahu, where they talk about board design and the importance of water safety.

Fabinho faces the challenge of learning to surf foilboard. For that, he enjoys the season in Hawaii and has a class with waterman Kai Lenny, one of the great exponents of the sport.

Fabio Gouveia visits the legendary and Hawaiian shaper and surfer Ben Aipa and makes a replica of his famous model Sting with his son Duke Aipa. He tests the board in Hawaii with his son Ian, and world longboard champion Phil Rajzman.
