Finding some alone time together is proving to be difficult for Erik and Susanne. Their two children are taking overthe house, even their tiny, cramped master bedroom. And the whole family shares one small bathroom. These parents want to go hide in the attic, but it's raw space that's not suitable for a bedroom. That is, until contractor Chip Wade steps in. Chip is determined to turn this unwelcoming, dusty attic into an adults only master suite. But that's easier said than done. He'll have to take off the roof of the home to raise the ceiling height, but his efforts are thwarted by days and days of heavy rain. These delays, along with a nervous homeowner and the seemingly endless list of things to check off, have Chip and his crew working overtime. Will they be able to pull off a luxurious master bedroom retreat for mom and dad?

The homeowners are awaiting the birth of their second child which means the grandparents are quick to follow! Problem is, Chris and Helen have nowhere to put them now that they'll be turning the guest bedroom into a nursery. Designer/Contractor Chip Wade proposes utilizing the space that the carport is currently occupying and turning that into a guest bedroom that would double as an office for Chris when the in-laws are not around. Chip and his crew are able to create an innovative way of separating the guest bedroom to the main living area. And as a surprise for Chris and Helen, Chip decided to renovate the kitchen as well! But the homeowners are not the only ones who received a big surprise: Helen gives birth earlier than anticipated, throwing the entire renovation into turmoil.

Bryan and Kathy feel like they never get to see their kids because there's not a big enough area to hang out in for this family of 5. Their house is chopped up in to small rooms, especially their kitchen, so everyone goes their separate ways. Designer/contractor Chip Wade knows that, to bring the family together, he's going to have to make some massive changes in the home. Chip creates the gathering space by knocking down a huge feature: the fireplace that sits unused in the middle of the room. He also tackles the maze-like walls, knocking them all down to completely open up the space. The custom kitchen counter he designs has a cool home office feature and he creates a one-of-a-kind coffee table with something for everyone. Chip hopes he's created the perfect space for the family to congregate.

Momma Mac, as she's called, has an official church and congregation, but she really does her ministry from her home kitchen. She's the first one to tell you that you can stop by her house anytime and she will provide you with a hot, delicious meal and good conversation. But although she loves to cook for big groups, her kitchen is falling apart around her, not to mention that it's just too small. Designer/contractor Chip Wade steps in to help, but he has his work cut out for him. How can he take this small space and make it functional, all while providing the countertop space, storage and seating area that Momma Mac needs? Chip gets a wild idea to create a table that grows and shrinks with the number of guest they have, but it's up to his team to figure out exactly how to build it. He's also determined to put a large peninsula in that space, with lots of prep space and serving space. There's no telling how he's going to accomplish this, but it does involve a chain saw!!

Jessica and John bought their home from Jessica's paternal grandmother. They are now the fourth generation to live in the house. However, they are anxious to get rid of the wood paneling, closed-off layout and original retro appliances in the kitchen! They want to be able to put their own stamp on the home and call it their own. Designer/Contractor Chip Wade comes up with an unexpected industrial-esque design for John and Jessica using concrete, metal and glass. With all the modernization that Chip and his crew added to Jessica and John's kitchen, the home now definitely fits in the 21st century.

Designer / contractor Chip Wade transforms a storage room and an old patio into a resort like oasis perfect for entertaining and playing games with friends and family. Chip renovates the space by adding a horseshoe and bocce ball court, cabanas, an outdoor grill, and a custom couch that can move from the indoors to the outside.

When Bart and Kristin first saw their home, they immediately fell in love with its charm and history. But once they moved in they realized that the layout of the 1930's house was not functional at all! Now a nagging question haunts Kristin and Bart: can a renovation fix the problems they have with the home or would it be better to move to a new house that would fit their needs? Designer/Contractor Chip Wade shows them the reality of what moving would really mean to their wallet, and presents them with a plan to stay in their current home. But it's a rough road as Kristin is a lot more attached to the house than she realizes and she threatens to stop down the renovation.

Julia and David run a graphic design business out of their home. The only entrance to the office is through their master bedroom. They feel very unprofessional when they have clients over and ask them to walk around their bed. And with two small children, the space gets even smaller. Designer/Contractor Chip Wade comes up with a plan to enlarge their present office and give them a more professional entrance that would satisfy their taste in design and functionality. But there are a lot of parts to this renovation which leaves a lot of room for problems, including delivery delays and a frustrating issue with the new stairway.

Designer/contractor Chip Wade is presented with a unique challenge for this outdoor space: make it work for an entire family of 5! In addition to a patio and grilling station for dad, mom wants an outdoor oasis and the kids want an area to drive golf balls! Chip and his team come up with some amazing solutions to create the ultimate entertainment space to keep everyone happy. Let's hope it works!

The Perez family needs a space in their home to stay fit. With three growing boys who are avid soccer players, mom who enjoys the martial arts and dad who is intent on losing weight and getting healthy, they figured that working out as a family is the best motivation for everyone. The family enlists Designer/Contractor Chip Wade to help them build a home fitness center that would cater to everyone's interests. But Chip and his team have their work cutout for them converting a small, dusty attic space into a home gym with enough space to address all the family's desires.

The Gibson family wants their backyard to be the entertainment hub of the neighborhood. While it has tons of potential, it is completely bare. They've spent all their energy renovating and beautifying the interior of their home that they now don't have the budget or the creativity to fix up their backyard. They really want an outdoor space that they can use all year round. Designer/Contractor Chip Wade has his hands full with the biggest Elbow Room project yet!

The Francis family is ready for a change. Their galley style kitchen isn't spacious enough for their growing family. It's become normal for them to eat on the couch in the family room while watching TV. Robert and Tricia want to have an open floor plan with a gourmet kitchen and dining area that would allow them to eat at a table as a family and perhaps even throw a party. To give them the Great Room of their dreams, Designer/Contractor Chip Wade must decide between building an addition or reconfiguring the square footage of their current space.

The Schroeder's want to create an outdoor entertaining space that can also serve their eclectic tastes. Paul's a country boy and wants to have a farm with chickens but Jennifer will never leave the city. She wants a workable space for arts and crafts but they've run out of space inside. In order to solve this problem, they call on Designer/Contractor Chip Wade to help them find a middle ground and turn this boring backyard into a place the whole family can enjoy!
