Wanjugu Kimathi, the daughter of the leader of the Mau Mau rebellion, Dedan Kimathi, searches for her father’s remains while fighting for land rights for forgotten veterans of the anti-colonial struggle. Through the eyes of Kimathi’s widow, Mukami Kimathi, and the voices of Mau Mau fighters, the film tells their stories of British colonial rule, and the ongoing trauma of those who believe justice is still denied. We see Wanjugu fight for land for the Mau Mau descendants and hear her plea for Dedan Kimathi’s remains to be returned and buried with honour.

With its many dancing challenges and comedy sketches, it’s no surprise TikTok is popular with young Kenyans. The app is also a way for them to make money through its gifting service. But there’s a darker side, where young women – including teenage girls as young as 15 – are selling sexual content on live streams, with some being recruited and exploited by “digital pimps”.
Africa Eye's Debula Kemoli investigates.
A spokesperson for TikTok told the BBC it has zero tolerance for exploitation, enforces strict safety policies and has robust live content rules and moderation in place for 70 languages, including Swahili.

Two years after the start of the civil war in Sudan, #BBCAfricaEye and #BBCEye Investigations have gained unique access to El Fasher, the capital of north Darfur.
Described by the UN as "Hell on Earth, where people could lose their lives on any day", a million people are living under bombardment in El Fasher - the last city to hold out against the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces, who have besieged it for a year.
The siege imposed by the RSF has prevented any journalists from entering the city for the last 12 months, but BBC Eye Investigations managed to get cameras to three of its citizens. They describe their daily battle to survive under siege and being targeted because of their African ethnicity, in terms that seem to support the UN's warning of potential genocide.

On June 25th 2024, blood was spilt at Kenya’s parliament.
That day, thousands of protestors headed there to stop the 2024 finance bill being passed into law. En-route they were met with tear gas, truncheons, and even gunfire. When they got there, and stormed the legislature, some of that gunfire turned lethal. At least three people were killed: students, shopkeepers, and Sunday school teachers. Since then, no one has been held to account for their deaths.
Now, using open-source intelligence (OSINT) and forensic techniques, #BBCAfricaEye can expose the men who spilled blood on the grounds of Kenya’s parliament.

For nearly a decade, there has been a violent crisis unfolding in Cameroon. It’s a conflict between Cameroon’s security forces and armed separatists over the country’s two English-speaking regions; a conflict that has subjected the local population to property destruction, unlawful killings, rapes, abductions and much more.
Cameroonian journalist Blaise Eyong, who has been reporting on this story since the unrest began in 2016, takes us into the heart of one of the world’s most neglected crises — bringing us face to face with both its victims and its perpetrators.
