The episode begins with the players choosing their roles and explaining their characters, introducing Jim Darkmagic III (Mike Krahulik), Omin Dran (Jerry Holkins), and Binwin Bronzebottom (Scott Kurtz). Chris Perkins explains many of the rules of Dungeons and Dragons to the party while setting the scene of the adventuring party's first adventure occurring in the town of Winterhaven. The town has been dealing with significant issues with Goblins and Kobolds with which the party has encountered before the podcast begins.
The party continues their battle against a Swarm of Rats while being ambushed by hidden goblins. This is the first episode where Omin is declared to be the CEO of Acquisitions

The Party follows a trail of blood, left behind by the surviving goblin from the previous episode, down a flight of stairs. At the bottom they accidentally attract attention from zombies that attack them. They work to discover a way forward after finding a path lit with just a glyph.
Upon entering what is reveled to be a small empty crypt, the party is attacked starting a lengthy back and forth battle with Irontooth and the introduction of Splug.

Picking up where 'Acquisitions Incorporated: The Series' left off, our heroes are recovering from a disastrous encounter with a dragon and their segment of the Rod of Seven Parts has been taken. They must board their airship, ascend into the stratosphere, and fight to recover the Rod before it can be used to summon a terrible demon lord.
