Between 1916 and 1917, the Germans built a vast line of fortifications linking Arras to Soissons. On this occasion, they transformed a tunnel located on the Saint-Quentin Canal into a military barracks with numerous first aid posts scattered along the banks. At the end of September 1918, Commonwealth troops received the order to break through this important line of defense.

December 21, 1915, dozens of French soldiers storm the summit of a rocky promontory overlooking the Alsace plain: the Hartmannswillerkopf to reclaim Alsace and Lorraine. In each camp, thousands of men have already been sent to try to retake it from the German enemy.

July 1918, General Ludendorff's spring offensives have been stopped by the Allies a few kilometers from Paris. But the Germans do not give up. They are preparing a new lightning attack, an offensive that must be the last chance: the Friedensturm, the battle for peace.

November 26, 1941, an armada of the Imperial Japanese Navy secretly leaves the Japanese archipelago. Destination, Pearl Harbor, in the heart of the Pacific Ocean where it will arrive in the first days of December. Its mission: to annihilate the American fleet stationed in the Hawaiian port.

Battlefields: Stonne, Verdun in 1940 May 15, 1940: German tanks and elite soldiers of the Grossdeutschland regiment head towards a small village in the French Ardennes: Stonne. German General Heinz Guderian is on the move. For five days, his troops have been galloping across French territory without having really encountered any resistance. The French must react.

The Battle of Cherbourg was one of the most decisive military offensives of the D-Day landings. The Cotentin town with its deep-water port was a crucial issue for the Allied forces. It was the American soldiers of General Collins who had the heavy responsibility of bringing down the town transformed into a fortress by the Germans. It would take eight days of fighting mobilizing naval, air and land forces for the Allies to seize the Channel town.
