The first Donnelly Threshing Bee was held in 1965 at the Oscar and Ruth Aanerud farm near Donnelly. It has been held at this same site ever since. Tractor pulls, a horse pulling contest, an antique car show, parades music, games, a queen coronation and an open-air worship service are all part of the three-day festival that draws crowds from all over western Minnesota.
