The womens prison

Nanna is in her second year in prison for serious drug crimes. She is struggling to get sober so she can get an education. But her efforts are put to the test when she says goodbye to her 'prison mother' and has to manage on her own among the prison's criminal women. Meanwhile, prison guard student Nikolaj takes in Jessika, who has been convicted of robbery and is now serving three months in the women's prison.

Susanne is serving a seven-year sentence in a closed prison when she is forced to move to the open section. She fears sharing a cell with a junkie. At the same time, Nanna is subjected to a search that puts her future plans in danger. And then Frederikke, who has been convicted of making murder threats, tries to convince the prison to release her early.

Nanna enters treatment and promises to stay off drugs, but her promise is tested by the prison, which calls in drug dogs. Meanwhile, Jessika opens up about a dark past that continues to haunt her. And Susanne reads a letter from her grandchildren that makes her feel the consequences of being in prison.

Nanna discovers a lump in her breast and fears the worst. A former inmate surprises everyone with his sudden return. And then the officers welcome Sally, who is heavily pregnant and about to give birth to her first child in the women's prison.
