Deze tocht begint in Amsterdam, aan het IJ. André en Janny gaan op zoek naar hun boot, de Pollux. Deze tocht gaat door de Zaanstreek. André en Janny varen door Zaandam, slechten de monumentale Hondsbossche sluis, bewonderen de prachtige oude fabriekspanden en maken verse Spaanse worst. Ook bekijken ze de Zaanse Schans, de oude molens en Zaanse huisjes. Op dag twee varen André en Janny naar het voormalige walvisvaardersdorp De Rijp. Daar stappen ze over op een heel modern watervoertuig. De tocht eindigt aan de steiger van het idyllische eilandje De Woude, waar 150 mensen wonen en waar je alleen per boot kunt komen.

In the night of November 18 to 19, 1421, Holland was hit by the Saint Elisabeth flood. The dikes broke as a result of a combination of a heavy storm and high tide. The area around Dordrecht was hit hard. Dordrecht itself was spared, because the city was high enough. The floods created the De Biesbosch nature reserve. André and Janny visit Dordrecht, make their own liqueur, go on a beaver safari, marvel at the craziest lock they have sailed through so far and end their journey on an idyllic river.

Deze tocht van Gouda naar hartje Utrecht heeft alles in zich wat je voor je ziet als je aan Holland denkt. André en Janny beginnen in Gouda met kaas, hoe kan het ook anders. Maar Gouda staat ook bekend om zijn kaarsen. Bij de enige overgebleven kaarsenwinkel in het historische centrum staat hen een bijzondere verrassing te wachten. Na vertrek tuffen ze de Hollandse IJssel op, een prachtig riviertje dat door het Hollandse landschap slingert. Aan het einde van de dag meren ze aan in Oudewater, waar ze overnachten. De volgende ochtend haalt André ontbijt in het prachtige middeleeuwse dorpje.

André and Janny go to Overijssel, to the IJsseldelta. Janny delves into the history of the Hanseatic cities, which grew into the most prosperous cities in the Netherlands in the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries through clever agreements and mutual trade. The tour starts in the ancient and beautiful Zwolle, where the Pollux in the Thorbeckegracht is waiting for them. Via the Zwarte Water they sail into the IJsseldelta, a beautiful wetland area full of farmlands and forests. Halfway through, they turn right onto the Overijsselse Vecht. André and Janny go ball shooting in a meadow. They spend the night in Hasselt, Zwolle's smaller brother.
