A young woman is raped and murdered by John Glynn, a serial offender given bail by a corrupt judge in spite of Garda appeals to remand him in custody. Pressure mounts on Cathal as he’s blamed for her death. Desperate to clear his name, Cathal is forced to endanger those closest to him as he gets sucked in to a deadly game of cat and mouse with this dangerous sociopath.

Natalie Boner, a young Donegal woman, walks triumphantly from the court as her former chaplain Fr Mathew King is convicted of multiple counts of rape. Investigating the case, Mac Iarnáin uncovers a high-ranking solicitor double-charging redress board victims for his services.
