Mayor Ludvig Tomasevic orders Blago Antic not to release material yet accusing President Jelena Krsnik. Tycoon Kardum from custody sells "Newspapers" to Lovro Ljubicic, a wealthy oilman and Blago's friend. Kardum's mother Dubravka suspects her of Tomasevic's promise that her son will be released before the second round. Tomasevic knows, however, that Dubravka hid a car accident with three dead - that is his weapon for keeping his balance in fear. President Krsnik learns about a text about the alleged profiteering of Predrag Horvat's friends and donors. The text is being prepared in "Novine" and it is clear to her that Tomasevic is behind it. Following a text by Tena Latinovic accusing him of the long-standing murder of a Croatian immigrant, Blago Antic expects to be protected by a close associate, the powerful Ludvig Tomasevic. But Tomasevic explains to him that he has to give up because of the presidential campaign in full swing. At that, Blago meets with another presidential candidate, current President Krsnik.
Anja Mladenovic gives an interview to Renata Savic, a journalist with Izvor.hr. He discovers everything about the technique of drawing public money through Tetra and about Tomasevic's role in it.

The new owner of "Novina", tycoon Ljubicic, confirms to Blago Antic that he remains loyal to him, regardless of Blagin's split with Tomasevic, and then sends the editor-in-chief of Vid to a new position in the newspaper. He mildly suggests to Dubravka, the mother of the imprisoned tycoon Kardum, to help him deal with Tomasevic. Dario Antic, Blagin's son and director of Tomasevic's presidential campaign, is trying to end the collaboration.
