A pair of chairs arrive at the Nelson's home as a mistake. When Ozzie tries the fix the mix up, it creates further confusion when two more chairs are sent. After trying out the chairs Ozzie decides to keep a pair of them and send the others back. Thorny convinces Ozzie to send his old chairs to the bowling alley. While away, a man comes and removes all four chairs on Harriet's insistence. Later, a knock on the door finds the men from the department store coming for the chairs. The new chairs had been taken to the bowling alley. Thorny receives a phone call explaining the chairs should have originally been sent to his house.

As Ozzie falls deep asleep, Harriet and the boys discover that Ozzie has delivered the papers to a woman's group instead of their customers.

The boys try to butter up Ozzie in order to get him to ask them to go camping once again this vacation. When Ozzie sneaks a peek, Thorny tells him that the messages are only being kind because the family is brow beaten by him. When Ozzie opens the box in front of everyone, the messages are a lot less than kind than he expected.
