After decades of searching, Guðmundur Kort was confirmed to be the son of an American of Italian descent who died in 2012. He is determined to go to the United States, even though he does not know how he will be received by his siblings.

Þórunn Kristín Sigurðardóttir was adopted from Colombia in 1981 and has always had strong feelings for her country of origin, even though she has not been there since.

Þórunn Kristín and Sigrún Ósk head off to Colombia to try to find Þórunn's relatives in that country, but she was adopted from the capital Bogota almost 40 years ago.
