High school teacher Alan Steadman (Robert Bathurst) returns home after a six week holiday to find he has been reported dead, with his home repossessed and bank accounts closed. Turning up at school in the middle of his own epitaph, Alan must rely on the help of colleague Gina (Caroline Quentin) as he attempts to uncover the culprits involved.
