After a jogger is raped by a gang of teenagers, Jump Street is sent to Lincoln High School to investigate. Hoffs and Hanson befriend a group of students, while Penhall joins the faculty as a coach. When a storm causes a blackout, isolating the school from any outside help, the students grow restless and slip out of their classrooms into the halls. Hoffs and two fiends, Allyson and Rob, leave class, joining up with Hanson in another part of the school. After convincing Hanson's teacher that everyone is to leave for their next class, the students head into the hallway and vandalize the school as they wander aimlessly about.
