The 2020 Australian Grand Prix may have been cancelled, but that doesn’t mean we can’t show you what happened before everyone was stopped in their tracks.

Both cars home, a double-points finish and a podium for Lando is better than all but the wildest dreamers in the garage could have hoped for at the F1 season restart.

For the first time in 70 years of competition, F1 contested back-to-back races on the same circuit. It proved to be a very different experience – but for us it was a second chance to leap up at the chequered flag and cheer with unbridled joy and another fastest lap under our belts.

Sooner or later during the Formula 1 season you’re going to suffer a failure – and every weekend everyone hopes it continues to be ‘later’. Fortunately, Lando was able to manage a solo ascent of the timesheet and ensure a tough weekend didn’t turn into a bad one.

For any sports team, there are good days and bad. Occasionally, there are outliers at the extremes of that bell curve: the very, very good or… the 2020 Russian Grand Prix. This was our first non-scoring race of the season, and a first since last year’s Mexican Grand Prix.

Lando had a rough ride, but a last-gasp sixth place for Carlos ensured we departed the Algarve with more points than Racing Point or Renault.

Coming to an unfamiliar, highly technical circuit at an odd time of year was naturally tough, but the team fought hard to finish the weekend with a vital 10 points.

The GP in Istanbul was truly like nothing F1 has ever seen before – but this is part of F1’s attraction: it’s never the same race twice. Onwards to Bahrain.

The Bahrain Grand Prix proved to be a marathon rather than a sprint, but that didn’t stop it from being one of our best weekends of the season. Admittedly, after qualifying, such an outcome seemed unlikely, but everything clicked on Sunday with Lando and Carlos coming home fourth and fifth respectively under the lights in Sakhir. However, it all pales in comparison to the severity of the crash suffered by Romain Grosjean. We left this weekend feeling immensely thankful to the FIA and Formula 1 for constantly striving to make our sport as safe as possible, and to the Bahrain International Circuit safety team for their quick reactions to Romain's accident.

One of the many things this experimental F1 season has demonstrated is how minor adjustments in the format can deliver vastly different grands prix. From set-up to strategy, to confidence and competitiveness, the Sakhir GP was a much tougher round for the team compared to the Bahrain GP.

Over the past two years, we’ve gained memories that will live with us for a long time with Carlos and Lando. So, we took them for a night at the movies to watch through some of their most memorable moments, with a no strings attached twist.

While the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix isn't going to go down as a thriller for anyone watching at home, it was the most tense and emotional experience we’ve had in quite a while.
