The archaeologist Jack Wilder had to experience how his best friend was killed in a mining accident. To thank him for his friendship, his mother presented him with a mysterious old book that turned out to be part of a map to El Dorado, the legendary city of gold. During the rescue from the Peruvian army, there is an unexpected reunion with Jack Wilder's ex-lover Maria. Together they follow the clues to El Dorado and have to overcome mysterious traps on their way through the Peruvian Andes and fend off sacred curses in defense of the treasure.
