Here in the 16th century Chateau de Lalande in the heart of France, life goes on in spite of the French lockdown. It's been a crazily dramatic week - I had to make a mad dash from Cambodia, through Bangkok and Dubai, to Nice, in order to make it home to the chateau and to my mother before the borders closed. My relief at being home is immense! I hope that you're all safe and well wherever you are in the world. And, for those of you in the United Kingdom today: HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!! I finally open all of the exciting parcels that had arrived from all over the world whilst I'd been away. Here's the latest from my quarantine inside the Chateau de Lalande. It's a beautiful, sunny day, and our new volunteer, Selmar, starts repairing the greenhouse for the season ahead. Mummy's finally able to get in safely and starts planting the seeds for our organic vegetable garden. I'm so looking forward to cooking with the produce! The pink bobble hat makes its first entrance!
