The celebrities take to the floor for their first group dance, and there is a very special group routine as everyone on Strictly pays tribute to Sir Bruce Forsyth.

The pro-celebrity dance contest makes its grand return to screens, two weeks after a special introductory programme announced the dancer partnerships, and paid tribute to the show's late presenter Bruce Forsyth. Now though, the competition is ready to get under way, as incoming judge `Queen of Latin' Shirley Ballas and her fellow panellists Bruno Tonioli, Craig Revel Horwood and Darcey Bussell get their first taste of what the dancing duos are capable of achieving. None of the 15 stars taking to the dance floor this weekend will be exiting this week, though. Instead, their scores will carry over to next weekend, when viewers get a chance to vote for their favourite couples.

Last week, the pro-celebrity couples were given their first chance to show off their dancing prowess, and received a taste of what to expect from incoming judge Shirley Ballas and veteran adjudicators Craig Revel Horwood, Bruno Tonioli and Darcey Bussell, as they assess their prepared routines. This weekend, though, the competition really gets under way. The scores awarded to the 15 couples in the previous round are added to those given out following this week's performances to determine which contestants could be facing the boot tomorrow evening. Ultimately, though, the decision will lie with viewers at home, who are given a chance to have their say via a public vote.

The pro-celebrity couples face yet another round of high-pressure performances, as the competition enters its eighth weekend. Only nine duos remain, and Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly present as the pairs once more take to the dancefloor to demonstrate whether a week of rigorous training has had any impact on their skills as dancers. This time, though, the pressure is higher than ever, as anyone who drops out of the contest this weekend will miss out on the chance to dance at Blackpool Tower Ballroom next week. The star-studded dance contest reaches its most dazzling annual milestone, as the eight remaining pro-celebrity duos depart from London and head north to the Lancashire coast, where they put their skills to the test against the iconic backdrop of Blackpool Tower Ballroom. Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman open proceedings by introducing a grand-scale group performance, in which the couples are joined on the dancefloor by judges Shirley Ballas, Darcey Bussell, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood. Already a glamorous affair, Strictly turns the dial well and truly up to 11 for its yearly trip to the northern resort town, with even more glitzy sets and routines that push the performers to their limits. With the grand final now only a month away, the stars once again face the judges scrutiny ahead of yet another elimination.

The seven remaining pro-celebrity duos return to the Elstree studio, in the wake of their expedition to the Lancashire coast last weekend for the annual Blackpool Tower special. The competition will be no less intense on coming back to familiar territory, though, as the celebrities and their seasoned dancing partners draw closer to the grand final. Judges Shirley Ballas, Bruno Tonioli, Darcey Bussell and Craig Revel Horwood are on hand to assess each pairing's skills as they perform their individual routines, before they all tackle the Paso Doble at the same time in a `Pasodoblathon'. As ever, though, the impressing the judges is only half of the battle, as the stars must also gain the approval of the viewing public, who are given a chance to have their say over who should stay in the running.

Only six couples remain in the running, as Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman invite the pro-celebrity duos back to the studio for another round of performances. This time, it is Musicals Week, which means the stars and their professional dancer partners will be tackling popular routines from West End and Broadway shows. The show begins with a group performance taking the form of a routine from the soundtrack of Oliver!, before their stars are tasked with pulling off their individual dances. Judges Shirley Ballas, Darcey Bussell, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood are on hand to deliver their verdicts and award points to the most successful stars. However, the competitors' true fate will only be decided once the public has voted.
