Hunting Aotearoa

Join skilled hunter gatherer, Peter Peeti, as he heads to Kaikoura, South Island in search of wild game.

Pete hooks up with Wiremu Grace, pest control operator, in search of wild pigs and deer at Otapawa Station, Manawatu region.

Tui Keenan takes Pete along the banks of the Motu river, located north of Matawai, in the hunt for red deer.

Mark and Brooke Malloy along with their two children are keen to show Pete what they have on offer the show. It’s a quick jet boat ride up the Paringa River, set up camp, grab the rifles and straight into it as there’s plenty of deer sign as soon as they hit camp location.

Pete heads along the East Coast of the Bay of Plenty between Ohiwa and Opotki on the hunt for Red Deer and Wild Pigs!

Back in the South Island in the town of Murchison Pete follows a group of young teenagers who take on the challenge of learning how to hunt and provide food for the family.

Pete’s is on the hunt for wild pork and wild goat along the banks of Lake Rotoiti and the Kaituna River in the Bay of Plenty.

Tucked inland off the East Coast of the Hawkes Bay is a hidden village known as Tutira. With a few red deer and pigs roaming the boundary of the Kaweka Foerst Park it’s the perfect place to make a hunting show.

It’s back to the South Island for Pete to the small West Coast town, Ross. This time teaming up with with well known helicopter operators, the Newton family.

To end this series of Hunting Aotearoa, Pete heads to the West Coastal town of Hokitika. Teaming up with the Newtons, the group fly into the mountains to hunt the majestic Tahr.
